Technology is constantly evolving. Companies like Apple, Kindle, and Samsung are showing their versatility with their range of products like cellular phones, tablets and electronic readers. Windows just released their new tablet “Microsoft Surface”, which is sure to be the next big thing buzzing in the digital world.
The Windows 8 device has a 10.6inch screen, featured magnesium case, cameras in the front and back, touchpad and built in stand. The basic version will be available with 32GB or 64GB. The company has announced that the thin tablet will come in two versions and weigh less than two pounds. However during the unveiling details were not given regarding battery life, price or even a release date.
The device is designed to be a major competitor of Apple’s iPad and other tablets on the market. Since Apple released its iPad in 2010, Microsoft has not been a major competitor. Nor has the company’s products like the ZUNE, an iPod rival, been too successful. According to CNN Money, “Windows is the operating system running on more than 90% of the world's computers and two-thirds of the planet's Internet-connected gadgets.” So it would be a correct assumption to say that the company has made a quick turnaround with the new, trendy Windows tablet.
