Dr. Cooper has a full schedule for today’s Karamu Café. From 4-5pm he will be sharing stories with two African American “Top Chefs”, Chef Isaiah Kelsey, and Chef Vaughn Crenshaw. Chef Kelsey is the editor-in-chief for “Urban.Food.Print” which is a food blog that features highlights such as Wine Wednesdays and a video series called “Foodie Talk T.V”. Chef Crenshaw, Executive Chef at Seafood Gourmet recently appeared on the Food Network’s hit show Chopped. http://urbanfoodprint.com/
From 5-530 Dr. Cooper will be talking to Lewis Zuchman of the 1961, Original Freedom Riders. Zuchman has been recognized for his contributions to the civil rights movement through the books, “Breach of Peace” and “The Freedom Riders”. However, he not only donates to the African American community through print, he is also breaking into the film industry with the release of his documentary film that is currently in production. Zuchman has done quite a lot for his company SCAN as well, from the time he’s sat in the position of Executive Director, funding has for the company increased from $750,000 to $20,000,000.
Finally, during the last hour of Dr. Coppers show he will sit down with Bruce Crawley who is President and Principle owner of Millennium 3 Management, Inc. which was established in 2006. Prior to his work with Millennium 3 Management, Crawley served as president for Crawley Haskins Sloan (CHR) PR and Advertising. Crawley is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and is a past president of the National Association of Urban Bankers.
