Blacks contribute $1 trillion to the American Economy

In the spirit of Holiday Shopping, Nielson releases a study about the power of African American consumerism. According to the study, if "African Americans had its own country, they'd be the 16th largest economy in the world.""African-Americans’ buying power is expected to reach $1.1 trillion by 2015, according to The State of the African-American Consumer from Nielsen and the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA), a federation of more than 200 Black community newspapers across the U.S."
