WURD Speaks: Black Power Babies

Our WURD Speaks symposiums have grown to become a staple Philadelphia event that takes place throughout the year.

WURD is the voice of the community and we have an obligation to shed light on numerous issues that affect the African-American Community.

Black Power Babies, which took place directly after The Mountaintop performance at the Philadelphia Theater Company, was our first WURD Speaks event of 2013 and this event set the bar for all of our upcoming events. The topic explored the effects the movement had on the families of activists.

The panel was comprised activists and their children.
