DECEMBER 24 UPDATE:
After high traffic to HealthCare.gov on December 23 caused major site access and processing delays, the Obama administration extended the deadline to enroll in an insurance plan through the Federal health insurance exchange by 24 hours. This means that you now have until 11:59 p.m. on Christmas Eve (December 24) to enroll for coverage that would go into effect on January 1.

Alternately, you may also contact the 24/7 Marketplace Call Center via telephone at 1-800-318-2596/TTY: 1-855-889-4325 (please note, the call center will be closed on December 25). Our representatives will ask for information about your situation and explain your options.
Some insurers have extended the deadline for your initial premium payment, but you must still enroll right away.
