Michelle Obama: A Behind the Scenes Force

In a recent New York Times article profiling Mrs. Obama, the struggle of being both a wife and a woman with influence and power has caused much friction with political advisors David Axelrod and Rahm Emmanuel, among others.Although President Obama's term is yet to be over, many political analysts have already considered First Lady Michelle Obama's influence in her husband's agenda. Since the 2008 Presidential Primaries, Mrs. Obama's role in her husband's career has been a debate on whether she helps or hinders him. Remember her comment during the primaries when she said something to the affect that she was " first time proud of her country in her adult life?"
