Credit Where Credit Is Due - NY Teen Kwasi Enin Accepted to All 8 Ivies

While mainstream news outlets are digging into young brother Kwasi Enin's upbringing (how? why? who?), we'd like to cut to the chase and give this hard-working student the standing ovation he deserves!

Hats off to Kwasi Enin, a 17-year-old high school senior from Shirley, NY (Long Island suburb) who was recently accepted to all eight Ivy League universities -- as well as Duke University and three colleges that are part of the State University of New York (SUNY).

The son of Ghanaian immigrants, Kwasi attends William Floyd High School, where he is an accomplished violist, a member of the school's a cappela chorus and a volunteer in a local hospital's radiology department. Kwasi is on track to have 11 Advanced Placement courses under his belt by the end of senior year. His class rank is an impressive 11 (out of 647) - boosting him to the top 2% of his senior class. He also earned a 2250 score on his SAT (out of a possible 2400 points), which puts him in the 99th percentile of African American students.

The son of two American-educated nurses, Kwasi plans to pursue music and become a doctor.

Congratulations, Kwasi!
