A Definitive Argument for Reparations

On May 21, The Atlantic published "The Case for Reparations," an article by national correspondent Ta-Nehisi Coates. This topic has been discussed for generations, but rarely as thoroughly as Coates' masterful feature.

Coates is a national correspondent at The Atlantic and author of the memoir The Beautiful Struggle. His May 21 article, "The Case for Reparations" is an extremely compelling examination of reparations for African Americans. It makes the blood boil, but it's important history that all of us need to be familiar with.

Many people read and discussed the article when it was first released but recently there has been a tipping point of exposure for the article and it has "gone viral." We talked about it on the June 9 edition of Wake Up With WURD, and if you haven't yet read it, please do, and share it with your friends.

WURD will continue the conversation and as always, we invite you to join in and offer your own comments below.
